Bill Bogaard, Emeritus, Former Mayor of Pasadena (1999-2015)

Bill Bogaard served as Pasadena’s first directly elected mayor.  He was Executive VP and General Counsel of First Interstate Bancorp, a financial services company, until its merger in the late 1990’s with Wells Fargo & Co. and before that was a  partner in a Los Angeles law firm.  He is a graduate of Loyola Marymount University and the Michigan Law School and he served as Captain in the U.S Air Force. He is a Board Member of the Huntington Hospital, A Noise Within, and the Pasadena Community Foundation.

He and his wife, Claire, a founder of Pasadena Heritage, are parents of four children: Michele, Jeannine, Joseph and Matthew.
