Kristie L. Lin, M.D., Vitreoretinal Surgeon

Dr. Kristie Lin is a board-certified physician who specializes in the surgical and medical treatment of adult and pediatric retinal disorders. She shares a private practice with her husband, Dr. Joseph Lin, who founded California Retina and California Oculoplastics. 

She received her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology with Honors, from the University of California at Davis. She subsequently went on to receive her medical degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Further medical training included her 

ophthalmology residency at New York Medical College, and her vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. 

Dr. Lin has published many peer-reviewed articles and has presented at conferences throughout the nation. She collaborates with the Doheny Eye Institute and Massachusetts Institute of Technology in clinical research. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Society of Retina Specialists, and Women in Ophthalmology. 

She is also active in her community and is serving on the board of the Oak Knoll Neighborhood Association (OKNA) and also founded the Women’s Initiative to Save Eyes (WISE), a women’s eye health initiative. 

Kristie and her husband, Joseph, live in Pasadena with their three children and enjoy biking and running in the Arroyo.
